Lenten eMeditation – March 23, 2005 #43
Since today is the last full day of Lent and tomorrow evening marks the beginning of the Triduum this will be my last Lenten eMeditation. I want to thank you for allowing me to share these meditations with you during this season of Lent. I find it hard to believe that Lent is nearly over already. I pray that your celebration of the Triduum is a grace filled experience.
As Lent 2005 comes to an end, I share this prayer written by Jim McGinnis with you.
”Jesus, slow us down so we can hear your words of peace and feel your forgiving love. We have not been all that you called us to be. We have failed and fallen—often. You fell, too, under the weight of your cross. But each time you got back up and struggled on. Help us to start anew after each fall. Give us the humility and courage to ask forgiveness of those we have hurt and to extend forgiveness to those who have hurt us. Let us break the cycle of violence with acts of contrition and forgiveness.”
”Lord, in your great love, answer me.” (Ps 69:14c)
