Why Now?

Why do boxes and boxes of Girl Scout Cookies always show up right before Lent? It is not humanly possible to eat all the cookies I ordered before Lent begins. Left out after Lent begins, especially the peanut butter patties are a monumental temptation. I find it difficult to eat Girl Scout Cookies during Lent without some guilt. The cookies are after all so good. I know people who freeze their supply of Girl Scout cookies and bring them out during their big summer BBQ. I don't have that amount of will power when it comes to Girl Scout Cookies. The cookies would be lucky to survive past Easter.
