NEBRASKAland Days Parade
NEBRASKAland Days is a big time in North Platte. North Platte is taken over by the many and varied events of NEBRASKAland Days. There are more events than I care to participate in. I did spend time at the parade Saturday. Michael Martin Murphey was the parade's Grand Marshall since he received the Buffalo Bill Award at the rodeo on Friday night. While I'm not a fan of country western music, I do like Murphey's song "Wildfire." I took this picture of Murphey as he made his way down the parade route.
Representative Tom Osborne also walked in the Parade. He is the third District's representative in the US Congress. Here is a picture of Tom waving to the crowd. As you may know, Tom was the head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers for about 24 years. It was a good parade.
