Photography is in his blood
I spent the major part of this weekend (3/18-20) at youth rally, Going Bananas. The Editor of the West Nebraska Register asked be to take pictures at the event since the paper was not able to send a photographer. Rather, I was the photographer they were sending. It has been several years since I took photographs for an event like this youth rally. I surprised myself by how very much I enjoyed being the photographer. My equipment was really not suited for the event I was covering I took some very good photographs. I used my little Kodak, <a href="http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=9/19/32/2230&pq-locale=en_US" target="_blank">EasyShare CX7330</a> digital camera and a <a href="http://www.vivitar.com/Products/Flashes/flash.html#283">Vivitar 283</a> flash. Since the EasyShare is not made to connect to an external flash I fired the Vivitar with a flash slave. I did feel a lilttle foolish carrying a wallet sized camera with a hulking flash. Since the CX7330 is essentially automatic, it took me a while to figure out the exposure.
