Uncle Don, May you Rest in Peace

Mom called me as I was on the road to Alliance for a DRE meeting. Uncle Don had been sick for several years and after a full family gathering he left. I'm told a brother-in-law made him a final martini and brought him a hamburger with extra unions to celebrate a life well lived. I am named after Uncle Don. Mom promised him when they were growing up that she would name her first child after her brother Don, so I am, Donald. He was a great uncle and I'm blessed to be named after him. Uncle Don, I know you will rest in peace thanks for sharing your life with me.
