My name is Don Kurre. Imo and I have lived in North Platte, Nebraska for more than 30 years. We parent three adult children who are all on a journey in other parts of the country. We raised our children to be independent and they took us up on our offer — Go figure! I am the Coordinator for North Platte Citizen Advocacy.
I enjoy playing the electric bass guitar and am a member of the Flat Rock Irregulars Irish band. I also participate in Music Ministry at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. I serve as a facilitator for the University of Dayton’s VLCFF program. I facilitate on line courses.
This blog is my personal reflections about my work, life and serves as a place for me to store notes. Thanks for visiting.

I enjoy reading your Reflections on Life and Living, it’s a nice stop. I added your links to my site and Living in North Platte.
I did look at my pictures of the parade, not the greatest, your projection ones are great. Jill took them a little to far away along with having the density at low resolution.
Great job and keep up the good work.
Cheers, Shermie
Shermie, thanks for your comment and I appreciate the link from your web site. I need to get going on the Living in North Platte site. Thanks
Don,
I always enjoy visiting Sun Rise Over Nebraska now and then. You do a good job with editing and giving everyone a touch of North Platte. I’m now back in Kansas City, my hometown and like you, playing music now that I’m retired. You look good with that bass in your hands, I’m sure the Irregulars sound good now that you’re playing bass with them. You need a sound clip on the site someday. I look forward to hearing you guys again, now that I’m far away. Happy New Year!
