I really enjoyed the Best of Open Mic Downtown on the Bricks tonight. The weather was perfect and we had a large crowd come downtown for music, poetry and fun. The Sandy River Boys opened the afternoon with some of their signature blue grass sound. They along with Blue Swing were hits with the crowd that gathered.
I read Robert service’s poem, “The Heat of the Sourdough.” Ed did his mouse song and Scott read several of his poems including one of my favorites, “A Day of Vacation.” Jack Ostergard shared several of his poems as well. It was a good afternoon and the music continued into the evening. You will find more pictures from our Open Mic here.
