What we've learned from Rail Fest 2008
We want to keep track of what we've learned from Rail Fest 2008. Please list below in response to the follow questions in the area you worked. This list will become our memory. Mostly we are looking for things that stood out as we worked Rail Fest 2008.
What things we should Keep
- Entertainment is a very successful part of Rail Fest and should be continued
- Entertainment: Contract with Clone productions again. they did a good job
- We thought of Alfee More as a possible Emcee
List things we should Add
- For entertainment: make sure we send a confirmation letter to all the acts next year with their time slot, their amount of time they are gonna play, parking details, and contact info.
- Need a systematic way for acts to get their gear to the stage. Golf Cart with a trailer. Some acts have a lot of gear.
List things we should Change or Drop
- Didn't seem to be a need for the Key Board.
List other comments or Questions to address
- Do we want to continue giving acts $100? Several acts returned the money as a contribution.
- George and Janet did a great job as Emcees
