This is a good day for North Platte. The Golden Spike Tower and Visitor Center officially opened in North Platte today. The “Spike” as it is affectionately know in North Platte will provide people with an opportunity to view the worlds largest rail road classification yard, UPs Baily Yard and the surrounding landscape.
