Ground Breaking on Buffalo Bill South

groundbreaking-3

On Wednesday, June 3, 2009 dignitaries from across the state, including Govenor Heineman, were on hand to break ground for the Buffalo Bill South project. The project, which has been in the works for about 40 years will soon provide North Platte residents with an additional way in and out of town. As Mayor Kaschke said, Buffalo Bill South will provide a spark for the economic development of the South Western part of North Platte. Past mayors Richardson and Whitaker along with Senator Hanson were on hand to break some ground.

While in North Platte Governor Heineman took the opportunity to announce that North Platte will be receiving around 1.4 million dollars in stimulus transportation money to complete the bus barn project at the Rec Center. These two projects will enrich the economy of North Platte in so many ways.
