With all the objects to make photographs of in North Platte, I chose this inflated gorilla. It’s huge and stands or I should say is tethered outside a fireworks tent. Even our very own Nebraskaland Days parade doesn’t boast of a balloon the size of the gorilla. North Platte residents might enjoy watching this gorilla make its way down Fourth Street. But alas this specimen makes its home for seven days just South of the Mall. But hold on, for the seven days leading up to the Fourth of July North Platte is home to not one but two giant inflated gorillas. I do hope the tethers hold.
