Let Me Know What You Think

cell-phoneDiscussion of the cell phone tax was tabled at the City Council tonight. I was asked tonight what I thought the nearly empty gallery in Council Chambers meant. “I don’t know what it means.” But the Council is scheduled to discuss implementing a cell phone tax at the May 26th “Work Session. I hope the gallery is full. I’ve said here that I favor implementing the cell phone tax. I’ve also said, “The urgency and need to manage our spending remains.”

I would love to hear from people regarding the cell phone tax. We do need a larger conversation about city revenue. Call me, my phone number is listed on the City’s web site here or email me at npward3@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

  1. I am not opposed to the tax based on the fact that is is standard on the home line. However 5% is EXTREEMLY HIGH. It is unreasonable as my phone is not a minimum use phone. That is the pretense you seem to be going on. On my 135.00 standard phone bill you will increase it to 143.00 or more. I would support a 2% tax but it is not time to get gredy.
