Arleen M. Kurre
Arleen M. Kurre, 81, Springfield, Mo., passed away at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2007, in The Manor at Elfindale. Arleen was born August 14, 1925, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Frank and Margaret (Keilholz) Mink. She taught in St. Mary’s School in Richmond, Indiana, and was the first female principal in the Archdiocese in Indianapolis. She was married to Robert B. Kurre in August of 1947. They became the parents of four children. Arleen is survived by her husband, Robert, and her children, Donald and Imogene Kurre, North Platte, Nebraska, Kathleen Kurre, Atlanta, Georgia, Charles Kurre, Phoenix, Arizona, Eric and Victoria Kurre, Springfield, Missouri; and seven grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, at Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Chapel with Father Thomas Reidy, celebrant. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Elizabeth Ann Seton. Services will be under the care of Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
