I’m looking forward to the first every Open Mic on the Bricks. Open Mic on the Bricks will be held in Down Town North Platte on Sunday, September 7, 2008 beginning at 5:00 pm. I look forward to taking an evening out to rest, regroup and join the fun with music, prose and poetry! I’ll bring my lawn chair, a large glass of sun tea, my guitar and a few favorite poems to share and prepare to kick back. George Lauby from the North Platte Bulletin will be here to encourage and entertain us along with many other friends and brave souls who share their gifts. Sharon and Vicki from A to Z Books will be there to greet us. I’ve marked my calender for Open Mic on the Bricks at 5th and Dewey streets in beautiful down town North Platte. Let the music begin.

I’m interested in knowing more about the “Open Mic On The Bricks”. We’re from Omaha, but may be out that way around that time. How does one get considered for one of the slots?
