don-downtownA to Z Books held the first Open Mic on the Bricks Down Town Last night, Satruday, April 19, 2009. About 4o people ventured into the spring evening to enjoy some music, poetry and prose.  We all had fun and Sharon promises that Open Mic will be back on the bricks again.

I took a lot of pictures and I’ll post them later today. Thanks to Scott for taking this picture of me with my Camer. As Scott said, You probably have a boat load of pictures of every one else but none of you. Well he was right I do have very few pictures of my self. Any way, thanks Scott.

I also want to thank all the people who came to share their talent and those who come to watch and enjoy the evening. We do have a wonderful time.

You will find pictures from Open Mic on the Bricks here.

Don – thanks so much for posting pictures of this event. I didn’t make it to North Platte, but I’m glad there was great weather and a big crowd. All of you “open mic-ers” have created a wonderful community event. Congratulations.

It’s great to see a picture of you — and thanks for all you do for the community. You do make a difference.
