Singing at Rail Fest

I played in the A to Z Open Mic group during the 2008 Rail Fest (I’m second from the end on the right. Photo by Kathy Marquette) George put the group together from people who regularly jam at the end of Open Mic. We put together several songs including; City of New Orleans. Tom Dooley, The Loco-Motion, and Bill Bailey. I know I had a really good time. People in the audience told us we sounded good and they enjoyed our performance. Maybe we will do an encore performance at the 2009 Rail Fest. No word an plans to release a CD, who knows, stay tuned!

More information on those who performed during Rail Fest visit the Entertainment Blog here. I blogged about the acts as they performed. It was an interesting experiment. I’ve also played a part in maintaining the Rail Fest web site here.
