Gas is up to $3.08 (cash price) per gallon at my favorite North Platte gas station. I’m driving like it was still $0.25/gallon like it was when I was back in college. The two stations in town frequently had a “price war” and gas would sell for much less for an hour or two. I know gas is higher in other places I still have to ask, $3.08? I noticed more people riding their bikes but still the traffic is heavey for North Platte. North Platte supports its economy with tourist dollars. If price of gas continues to increase, I wonder what will happen to those dollars.
