The University of Nebraska’s Women’s Soccer team played the University of Colorado in North Platte on Friday, April 21, 2006. Unfortunately UNL lost to UC 5 to 0. Beyond the score it was a great day for North Platte Soccer. It was exciting for North Platte to be able to watch two division one college teams to play. It is important for young soccer players to see a college game. Such a game provides an image for their own goals as soccer players. The soccer skills exhibited by the college players shows the young players the results produced by the seemingly endless drills traveling team coaches put them through. Go Huskers!
