I saw the Da Vinci Code Friday night. My $6.50 was part of that $224 million the movie earned world wide its first weekend. The second highest earning film in history according to Sony. As a movie, I give it a seven on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 high. As action adventure movies go, I’ve seen better. I’m glad I saw the film. Now at least I feel free to talk about it when the topic comes up. The History Channel broadcast a number of great programs packaged as, “the Da Vinci Decoded Week. TV worth watching. As someone involved in adult faith formation I’m going to think about what the response to this film tells us. I’m left asking what’s the message here?
